Highlighting New Evangelizers: Catholic Stuff You Should Know Podcast

Catholic Stuff You Should Know

If it wasn’t for the Catholic Stuff You Should Know podcast, I wouldn’t laugh nearly as much as I learned about annulments, Aquinas’ five proofs for the existence of God, and why being called “father” isn’t optional for priests (given from a young priest’s perspective).

The show’s run by seminarians and freshly-pressed priests, and it’s hip to pop culture, wise to smart stuff, and just plain entertaining.

And I learn something every single time.

In around 15 minutes (20 if we’re lucky), the guys–usually Father John and seminarian Nathan Goebel (whose last name I probably just butchered)–cover a topic in a way that my short copy parish priest (who remains the best catechist I know) would be proud of.

They’ve covered distributism, history, Advent wreaths, various saints, and modes of prayer. They aren’t scared to tackle philosophy, theology, and fine drinks all in one shot.

It’s refreshing in many ways. I never miss an episode and though I haven’t yet gone back to listen to all the back episodes, I just may someday soon.

Definitely worth your download.
