Journeying through the Creed

Recently, as I thought I was totally goofing off and reading some of my favorite blogs, I discovered something that’s already helping me in this Year of Faith: a series hosted by Melanie Bettinelli of The Wine Dark Sea, examining the Creed phrase by phrase.

I’ve seen this approach before with the Our Father–and even used it myself with the Hail Mary–but that doesn’t stop me from being completely enamored with it.

The Creed is packed with information. I mean, it has its own section in the Catechism and we profess it every single Sunday at Mass!

It’s all too easy to take it for granted, as with so many other things. Here’s a chance to spend this Year of Faith considering one of the most important components of our faith, the very summary of what we believe.

I’m gratefully following along. I hope you will, too!
